A Memorable Start to the 2025-2026 School Year
Celebrating WZFS’s 20th Entrance Ceremony
Yesterday marked a special milestone for WZFS as we celebrated our 20th Entrance Ceremony and welcomed the start of the Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 school year! The atmosphere on campus was filled with energy, excitement, and hope as we embarked on a new academic journey together.
A Year of Change and Growth
This year brings many changes to WZFS. We welcomed 14 new teachers (with one more joining soon), each bringing unique talents and fresh perspectives to the classroom. Among them are several gifted musicians whose performances made the ceremony unforgettable. Our orchestra, despite only having one day to rehearse, played so beautifully it felt as though they had been practicing all summer.
We are also thrilled to welcome Coach Choi, our new head baseball coach from South Korea. Coach Choi has already started laying the foundation for ZSA (Zhongshi Sports Academy) and is preparing to propel our student-athletes toward success. Joining him is his wife, who has come on board as a full-time nurse in our school infirmary, further strengthening our community’s care and support.
Highlights from the Opening Speech
During his opening address, Vice President Daniel Lee reflected on an incredible summer filled with important developments for WZFS, including:
A major upgrade to our football/soccer field
Hosting English and Chinese summer camps
Onboarding and orientation for our new teachers
Establishing an International Partnership with California Crosspoint Academy in San Francisco, opening new opportunities for our students
We are deeply grateful for the continued blessings on our school, which have helped us grow stronger and better prepared for the year ahead.
A Special Ribbon-Cutting Moment
Following the ceremony, we held a ribbon-cutting event to officially open the newly upgraded football/soccer field. The weather had been unpredictable, but the rain stopped just in time for us to celebrate — a moment we believe was truly an answered prayer.
We expressed our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the field’s construction, especially Mr. Choi and the President of the construction company, whose hard work made this vision a reality.
This school year promises to be unique and inspiring. With new teachers, new facilities, and new opportunities, we look forward to seeing our bobaes thrive — in the classroom, on the field, and beyond.
